Our Approach to Achieving Wellness

Florida Weight Loss and Wellness Clinic provides a medically sound, personalized approach to help patients achieve health goals by integrating traditional, complementary, alternative, lifestyle, and obesity medicine.

Our doctor was trained years ago in the traditional specialties including internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. However, in a quest to offer more innovative solutions to the conditions plague our patients, our doctor has pursued additional certification in new specialties including obesity, lifestyle, integrative, and anti-aging medicine. Our doctor combines the latest strategies from these specialties to help patients reverse illness and lead healthier lives.

Our doctor offers monthly medical coaching, treating patients as partners in their journey. We do not charge costly membership fees or resell medications at high prices. Most care is covered by insurance.

This medical specialty emphasizes scientifically validated, holistic strategies focusing on nutrition, exercise, and mental health. It is effective in treating obesity, diabetes, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, and depression.

Principles of Lifestyle Medicine

  • All factors that influence health, wellness, and disease are taken into consideration, including mind, spirit, and community, as well as the body.

  • Appropriate use of both conventional and complementary methods facilitates the body's innate healing response.

  • Effective interventions that are natural and less invasive should be used whenever possible.

  • Integrative medicine neither rejects conventional medicine nor accepts complementary therapies uncritically.

  • Good medicine is based in good science. It is inquiry-driven and open to new paradigms.

  • Alongside the concept of treatment, the broader concepts of health promotion and the prevention of illness are paramount.

  • Practitioners of integrative medicine should exemplify its principles and commit themselves to self-exploration and self-development.
